Childhood cancer is something families hope never happens to them. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it impacts the entire family. Child Cancer Fund has worked hard for 30 years to provide support and resources, so they do not have to fight alone. Your generous support will provide practical, emotional, educational and mental health services to these brave children and their families.

Craft Store Gift Cards

The Child Life Specialist provides diversionary opportunities for play, learning, and self-expression designed to minimize the stress and anxiety of a child in treatment. Craft store gift cards, including Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts, Walmart, Target, etc, are appreciated for this purpose.

Dining Gift Cards

Families spend hours or even days in the clinic or hospital with their child undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Feeding a family under these circumstances is expensive. Grocery store or restaurant gift cards are appreciated for this purpose.

Snack Cabinet

Many times families are required to stay longer than expected at the clinic and are unprepared. The Child Cancer Fund stocks a snack cabinet at the clinic for such emergencies. Grocery store gift cards are appreciated for this purpose.

Amazon Gift Cards

We provide each family with a disease specific educational book purchased through Amazon.com. Amazon gift cards are appreciated for this purpose.

Fuel Gift Cards

A cancer diagnosis requires frequent trips to the clinic or hospital for tests, procedures, and cancer treatment. Travel can involve great distances for some families. Gift cards for local gas stations are appreciated for this purpose.

CCFConnect

A childhood cancer diagnosis is devastating and can feel isolating for families.

If you are the parent or guardian of a child undergoing cancer treatment at Nemours Children’s Health or Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and your primary oncologist is at Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, Florida, then you qualify to connect with other parents who “understand what it’s like” through our CCFConnect program.

Enjoy free monthly outings like cooking classes and ice hockey games to meet those facing similar circumstances. Speak to your oncology social worker for details.

Only members of CCFConnect have access to the private Facebook Group.
